Offshore Wind - Growth and Opportunity in Fife – Lunch and Networking Event

The cost of energy from offshore wind has fallen by 50% in just 2½ years, making it our lowest cost large scale generation technology and the vital contributor to the UK present and future energy mix as we strive to meet challenging decarbonisation targets.
Offshore wind is also one of the biggest opportunities for economic growth in the UK today, with a forecasted £17.5bn of infrastructure investment over the next four years.

Offshore Wind Week, from 6th – 10th November, will highlight some of the industry’s achievements to date and set out the huge ambition and opportunity that lie ahead.

Fife is at the very heart of this opportunity, with major projects just off our coast, a strong skills and training base and some of the leading players in the industry operating here.
